The Austrian manufacturer has finally launched the next-gen 2021 KTM Duke 125 in the Indian market. It gets revised styling and now it looks similar to the other Duke bikes. Apart from that, there is no much change except the engine which is now BS6 compliant.
So powering the KTM Duke 125 is the same 124.71 cc 4-stroke, Single Cylinder, Liquid Cooled, Fuel Injected BS6 motor which churns out 14.3 bhp of power @9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of torque @8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission. The engine has a slightly high compression ratio of 12.8:1 which results in slight heat in bumper to bumper traffic in the city. But it is not too much which we can’t live with. The bike has a smaller 10.5 Litres fuel tank and gives around 40 kmpl of mileage (overall).
The KTM Duke 125 gets dual disc brakes at both front and rear. A 300 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear does the braking duty effortlessly. The KTM Duke 125 gets 110/70 R17 front tyre and 150/60 R17 tyre at the rear. Both are tubeless radial tyres. Suspension wise the KTM Duke 125 gets WP APEX 43 fork at the front and WP APEX Monoshock at the rear.
The KTM Duke 125 weighs just 148.2 kg (Kerb). The KTM Duke 125 has 1,993 mm length, 789 mm width, 1,083 mm height, 1,366 mm wheelbase, 155 mm ground clearance and 818 mm seat height. The KTM Duke 125 is underpinned by a Steel Trellis Frame.
