The company is claiming that, the C5 Aircross will have the most comfortable suspension setup for long journeys. They call it as Progressive Hydraulic Cushion design. So the suspension is very softly sprung which absorbs almost all the pot holes and bad roads by providing you comfortable ride. But it results in bad cornering ability of the car. But anyway, this car is not meant and built for that, it’s built to take you to the destination in utmost comfort.
The seats on the Citroen C5 Aircross is made by high density form which and the cabin of the car remains very silent because of noise insulation which is done very well by the company with this car. But the rear seats on this car is a charm. Because all the 3 seats can be folded, reclined and slided individually.
The boot space in this car is plenty. The car gives upto 720 Litres of boot space without folding the rear seats. You can get upto 1630 Litres of boot space by folding the rear seats.
The Citroen C5 Aircross will be available in 2 different variants namely, feel and shine. The base variant will get 8 inch touch screen infotainment system with all the basic functions and information, 6-Speakers, push button start, semi auto park assist, offroad modes, 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, powered driver seat, height adjustable co-driver seat and 2 zone climate control with rear AC vents.
And other standard features of the Citroen C5 Aircross includes 6 Airbags, Traction Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Descent Control/Hill Start Assist, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts on rear and front passenger seats, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Drive Modes and the most common Apple Car Play & Android Auto on that 8 inch infotainment system.
The top end shine model gets some other minor upgrades compared to the base feel model which includes, panoramic sunroof, projector LED headlights and electric tail gate.
The Citroen C5 Aircross will be available in only one engine option. So the car will be powered by a 2.0 litre, Inline-4 Cylinder, DOHC(4 Valves Per Cylinder), Diesel engine which churns out 177 ps of maximum power and 400 Nm of maximum torque. The power will go to the Front Wheels (FWD) through a 8-speed automatic gearbox. There is no other transmission options will be there on offer. A sole 8-speed automatic transmission will do the job in both feel and shine variants.
The company will setup its dealership in some metro cities like Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gurugram, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Cochin and Chennai for now. The company will also provide pan India road side assistance, door step service and 3 year 1 year warranty. The expeted pricing of the Citroen C5 Aircross will be around 28-30 lakhs Ex-Showroom as it is not a made in India car.
