Honda Activa 6G BS6 2020
Honda Activa has been a successful product for Honda since it launched. It used to rule the scooter segment for a while. Now in 2020, legendary scooter Activa got a BS6 update and Honda named it as Activa 6G. 6G refers to the 6th generation. Initially, Honda Activa was not used to come up with so many features. But now things have changed and now the scooter comes with a tone of features which makes this scooter a fantastic product to go with.
Honda Activa 6G Engine
The Honda Activa 6G is available with 2 variants. Standard and the Deluxe. There is not much of a difference between both the variants. Activa 6G is powered by a 109.51 cc BS6 petrol engine which puts out 7.6 bhp of power and 8.79 nm of torque. Both standard and deluxe variants have the same engine.
The bore and stroke of the scooter are 47 mm and 63.1 mm respectively. The compression ratio of the scooter is 10.0±0.2. The cooling system of the scooter is fan cooled. And it has fuel injection for fuel delivery.
Mileage and Weight
The scooter comes with drum brakes for front and rear. The kerb weight of the scooter is supposed to be around 107 kg. The scooter is underpinned by underbone chassis and it has tubeless tyres. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5.3 liters and returns around 40-45 km/l of mileage.
Saftey and Dimensions
The Honda Activa 6G has 130 mm drum brakes for front and rear. The front wheel size is 12 inches while the rear wheel size is 10 inches. The scooter has 90/90-12 tyre at the front and 90/100-10 tyre at the rear. It has telescopic suspension at the front and 3 steps adjustable spring loaded hydraulic suspension at the rear.
The scooter has 1,833 mm length, 697 mm width, 1,156 mm height, and 1,260 mm wheelbase. The ground clearance of the scooter is 171 mm. Which is enough to tackle Indian roads.
The scooter has an analog odometer, DRLs, CBS braking system, under-seat storage, analog speedometer, fuel gauge, 2 trip meters, low-level oil indicator, pillion grab-rail, pillion footrest, electric start, engine kill switch, LED headlights, turn signal and pass light. The scooter has a 12V DC electric supply to run it. And it has a 12V 3 amps (MF) battery.
This scooter competes with TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Dio.
