Top 10 Most Reliable Car Companies in India

Top 10 Most Reliable Car Companies in India:

Reliability is the most important thing in an vehicle. The engine has to be in a good condition after driving it for more than a lakh kilometers, that’s the main characteristic of a reliable engine. There are lots of manufacturers working in Indian market but only some of them are making a break free reliable engine. These are the the Top 10 Most Reliable Car Companies in India. So read the full article to more about them. If any company is not there in this list, it doesn’t mean that they are bad. It’s just that these are better than them. That’s it.

  • Toyota

When it comes to reliability, Toyota always comes first. Toyota is making cars from more than 2 decades in Indian market. People love Toyota because of reliability, break free experience and brand value. True Toyota cars can be driven more than 5 lakh kilometers easily if maintained well. Currently Toyota India has 7 products, prominently the Fortuner and Innova Crysta. Glanza, Camry, Urban Cruiser, Yaris and Vellfire are also there in this list of Toyota Cars.

  • Lexus

When it comes to reliability in Luxury cars, Lexus is the king. It’s because Lexus is the subsidiary brand of Toyota. Currently there are 6 products are there under Lexus fleet in Indian market which includes, Lexus ES, Lexus NX, Lexus RX, Lexus LS, Lexus LC 500h and the big daddy Lexus LX in its 570 iteration.

  • Honda

You might have heard of VTEC kicked in yo! It’s the magic of Honda cars. Honda petrol (i-VTEC) cars actually redlines more than 7,000 rpm! That’s an amazing top end performance. The new 5th gen Honda City does 0-100 kmph in 2nd gear itself. But in Indian market, Amaze and City are life saver for Honda although they have the Jazz, WR-V, old City under their fleet. Civic and CR-V just got discontinued due to poor sales.

  • Suzuki

Suzuki, famously known as Maruti Suzuki in Indian market makes good petrol engines (there are no diesel options in the entire MS car lineup as of now). We don’t have to stretch much about this brand as everyone knows about this brand. But the only problem with this company is that they don’t provide safer cars as they do in other countries (S-Cross and Brezza are exception for this). All the other cars are not built safe and fails to keep their passengers safe in major accidents.

If they improve this, they will get more respect along with more sales (MS cars comes first in sales chart every month) because the service network is the biggest of Maruti Suzuki, engine are reliable and the resale value is also great. Currently there are 15 cars under MS fleet which includes both Arena and Nexa showroom cars. So these cars are Alto, S-Presso, Eeco, Celerio, Wagon-R, Ignis, Celerio X, Swift, Baleno, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, Ciaz and XL6.

  • Hyundai

The Korean manufacturer Hyundai is doing great in Indian market. They started from Santro and now they have 10 cars on sale as of now. Some of the Hyundai cars comes in top 10 list every month in sales chart. Indians sees Hyundai as premium brand and that’s why Creta, i20 and Verna sells so much. There are some cars which are not selling in good numbers which includes, Tuscon Elantra and Kona Electric. They also have 4 more products which sells in decent numbers which are Santro, Grand i10 Nios, Aura and Venue.

  • Ford

Ford is currently selling 5 products in Indian market which includes Figo, Aspire, freestyle, Ecosport and Endeavour but all of these good cars are highly underrated. Ford is famous for good, punchy diesel engines which we can see in the Endeavour, Figo, Ecosport, Aspire and Freestyle. In earlier days Ford used to charge huge money when it comes to service, spare parts and other repairs, this made Ford to loose so many customers. But now Ford is not like that, they comparatively cheaper to maintain but Indians don’t know much about that. So this is one of the reasons for poor sales of Ford cars in India.

  • Nissan

Magnite is the car which gave back life to Japanese manufacturer Nissan in Indian market. Nissan makes good, reliable cars but India still have to consider Nissan cars as a result they have only 3 cars (practically only 2) in its fleet as of now and Nissan also have to work on its marketing and service networks to capture the Indian market. So there are 3 cars under the Nissan India name which includes Magnite, Kicks and the monstrous, brutal, supercar killer Nissan GT-R (my dream car) famously known as Godzilla worldwide.

  • Renault

This French manufacturer is very famous worldwide, but not in India. They have Kwid, Triber, Kiger and Duster here in India. Kwid is doing pretty good and Kiger is recently launched and selling in good numbers too as of now. Duster is truly an underrated car. But it lacks features and the design haven’t got updated. But driving dynamics, ride quality and punchy 1.3-L, Turbo Charged Petrol engine is dream to drive. That Mercedes sourced 1.3-L engine is shared among Mercedes A-Class, Renault Duster and Nissan Kicks. Renault also have a 7-seater car Triber.

  • Skoda (Volkswagen group)

German giant Volkswagen owns Skoda and we are considering both Volkswagen and Skoda in this list. Volkswagen is selling Polo, Vento and Tiguan AllSpace while the Skoda has Rapid, Octavia and Superb. Skoda Kushaq has unveiled and will get launched pretty soon in Indian market. And there are some other cars like the new-gen Octavia, new-gen Vento, Polo, T-Roc 2021, Skoda Kamiq, Volkswagen Taigun, new Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq Petrol BS6, Volkswagen Arteon and new rapid are yet launch (expected). But there is a problem with this company. The servicing is costly, spare parts are costly and are not widely available, everyone can’t repair these cars. Overall the maintainance of these cars are pretty costly.

  • Mitsubishi

This list is filled up of Japanese car manufacturers Skoda (VW), Renault, Ford and Hyundai. Mitsubishi is famous for is Evo worldwide but it haven’t made its way to the Indian shores yet and will not do that in near future either. That’s a desirable car! Mitsubishi doesn’t have any cars as of now in Indian market. That’s the sad truth. We hope that they won’t go out of India completely like Chevrolet, Fiat etc..

Verdict:

So reliability is one of the main things which we have to consider along with safety. All of these companies mentioned here manufactures great, reliable cars and you can trust their engineering without a doubt. But it’s sad to see that some of these good companies are not doing great in Indian market. We hope this scenario changes soon.
