1. KURSK ( K-14 ) ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

CAUSE: EXPLOSION

The Russian oscar two-class submarine KURSK sunk in the barren sea in August 2000 after a leak of high-test peroxide in the forward torpedo room resulted in the detonation of a torpedo warhead, preceded two minutes later by the explosion of about half a dozen other warheads

The second explosion was around three to seven tonnes of TNT in size.

2. USS GREENVILLE ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT )

CAUSE: EXPLOSION

The USS Greenville accidentally struck and sunk the Ehimemaru, a Japanese high school fisheries training ship, on February 9, 2001, killing nine of the 35 Japanese on board, including four teachers. The collision occurred when members of the public were on board the submarine watching an emergency surface exercise.

3. USS DOLPHIN ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

The USS Dolphin, a US navy research submarine, suffered significant flooding and fires off the coast of San Diego, California. The crew and navy civilian personnel fled the ship but were rescued by nearby naval vessels. Despite the fact that the boat was badly damaged, no one was seriously injured, and it was towed back to San Diego for repairs.

In the year 2003, there were two major incidents.

4. MING 361 ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

The entire ship’s crew of 70 was killed in a mechanical malfunction aboard the Min class submarine 361 in northeast China in May 2003. The submarine was found and rescued. When it submerged with a vent opening for oxygen, which was consumed when the battery was down, the cause of the accident was found, and it was towed to an unknown port.

 5. K-159 ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

6. USS SAN FRANCISCO ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

On January 8, 2005, while underway and underwater, the Los Angeles-class submarine USS San Francisco collided with an undersea seamount about 350 miles south of Guam in Marianas Island. A total of 97 sailors were wounded in the accident, with two of them suffering from dislocated shoulders.

7. DANIIL MOSKOVSKY FIRE ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

In the year 2006, Daniel Mosakowski is a firefighter. The Russian Victor 3 class submarine Daniel Mosakowski caught fire on September 6, 2006, killing two crew members. The submarine was anchored off the Ribaki peninsula on Russia’s north coast near the Norwegian border at the time of the incident. The submarine was towed to a base in Vidiavo after the fire was put out with no damage to the reactor.

8.  K-152 NERPA ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

10. RUSSIAN-K150 ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

On September 16, 2013, 15 sailors were hospitalized after a fire on an Oscar-class submarine. The fire broke out during welding work on The submarine was put out after five hours at the Zvezda shipyard near Vladimir on the Sea of Japan. The fire destroyed the holds of 15 sailors, who are now hospitalized, according to a federal investigation commission.

11. USS JACKSONVILLE COLLISION ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

12. ARA SAN JUAN ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

On November 9th, 2017, the argentine navy submarine ara san Juan was reported missing in the San George gulf region. On November 13th, hopes of rescuing the crew alive were abandoned. On November 16th, 2018, the company ocean infinity had located san, Juan, via a remote submersible. The submarine’s imploded wreckage was strewn up to 70 meters from the hull.

13. LOSHARIK ( SUBMARINE ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT )

A fire on what it described as a Russian deepwater research submarine surveying the seabed near the arctic killed 14 sailors on July 1st, 2019. Russian authorities have been accused of attempting to conceal the full extent of the accident, and several Russian media outlets have criticized what they call a lack of accountability, drawing comparisons with the lack of official knowledge during the 1986 meltdown of a Soviet nuclear reactor in Chernobyl. The Russian government announced the incident on the submarine lotion rig one day later, admitting that the vessel had a nuclear reactor on board.

A commander of the Indonesian naval armed forces declared the submarine sunk on April 24, 2021, at a depth of 700 to 800 meters. after the KRI NANGGALA failed to sign up for a post-maneuver briefing after a torpedo live-fire exercise in the Bali Sea at a depth of 700 meters. beneath the sea’s crust, The 53 crew members were confirmed missing at a press conference on April 25, 2021, after an Indonesian navy ship, the KRI RIGLE, discovered the submarine broken up into three parts at a depth of 839 meters below sea level.
