The Hero Xpulse 200 S has got launched in its BS6 avatar after a long wait. The bike remains the same aesthetically but there are few changes here and there which makes the BS6 counterpart special. Read the article to know more about it.
As we told, aesthetically the bike looks exactly the same. It gets that twin LED headlights for better visibility but turn indicators are not LEDs. The bike gets extra white colour option now. The bike instrument cluster of the bike gets LED console which sports smartphone connectivity with Call Alerts, Digital Gear Indicator and Digital Tachometer.
The bike gets Xsense powered 200 cc engine with 14 sensors working in conjunction for an effortless ride through the city. The bike also gets dual discs (276 mm front, 220 mm rear) with single channel ABS. Cushioning the rear side of bike is the 7-step Adjustable Mono-shock suspension for better comfortable ride. Get better control and balance over bad & slippery roads with the 130 mm Rear (130/70-R17) and 100 mm Front, Tubeless Radial Tyres (100/80-17) that lends an indomitable grip in this price range.
The bike also gets 1st in segment smartphone connectivity where you can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Another 1st in segment turn-by-turn navigation on the instrument cluster makes your ride easy by showing the map on your eye front! The bike also gets on-screen notifications for incoming call alerts on the LCD console.
The bike has 795 mm seat height which is suitable for an average Indian consumer, 165 mm ground clearance which is ample for our Indian roads, 1337 mm wheelbase, 149 kg kerb weight and decent 12.5 Litres fuel tank. So, inclusion of Catalytic Converter, Oil Cooling, Gear Position Indicator and Fuel Injection are the 4 major changes with the BS6 version.
Powering the Hero Xtreme 200 S is the same 199.6 cc, 4-stroke, Single Cylinder, Oil Cooled, Fuel Injected, BS6 motor which produces 17.8 bhp of power @8,500 rpm and 16.45 Nm of torque @6,500 rpm. So the bike has pretty good low end and mid range punch. But the top end performance is totally missing in this bike. It is meant for comfortable city rides and occasional high rides & tours.
The bike is priced at 1,42,601 On-Road Mangalore. There is only one version of the bike is available with dual discs and single channel ABS. As we told the bike is available in Sports Red, Panther Black and Pearl Fadeless White.
