Global NCAP Car Crash Test in India 2020
Global new car assessment program or the global end cap have now revealed the crash test results of three more best-selling cars under its safer cast for India initiative the cars are chosen this time was.
1.Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
2.Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The entry-level variant of each was chosen for the crash test and all the cars were tested only for frontal crash protection.
First, let’s talk about the Maruti Suzuki S-presso which has received an appalling zero star for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection the Maruti Suzuki S-presso offers only a driver airbag as standard along with ABS with the passenger airbag available only as an additional option with the crash test, the body structure was rated as unstable along with the footwell area, child occupant protection was also poor with the poor performance of the restraint systems.
The Maruti Suzuki S-presso does not offer three-point seat belts for all passengers as standard and has no iso fixed child seat mounts.
The Second Car in the list is the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS the grande ten years achieved a disappointing two stars for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection the grand item Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS offers dual airbags and
abs along with pre-tensioner equipped seat belts for front passengers as standard the structure and the footwell area were rated unstable on the grand attenuas as well
child occupant protection 2 showed poor results due to the absence of Isofix child seat mounts.
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS TOO does not offer 3 point seat belts for all passengers
and also does not offer standard Isofix Chelsea mounts on the lower variants
After the poor performance of the two small cars the biggest disappointment however
is the KIA Seltos premium five-seat crossover
The KIA Seltos achieved only three stars for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection
the KIA Seltos offers dual front airbags and pre-tensioner equipped seat belts as standard however Isofix style seat mounts electronic stability program traction control
were available only on the top-spec variants its structure was rated as borderline case unstable and the footwell area 2 was rated as unstable child occupant protection was also related to poor in stark contrast the US and Australian Speckia Seltos had scored a full 5-star rating
at the US end cap and Australian end cap tests these stark contrasts
