Jawa has finally launched the 42 in its new avtar. So now, the bike is called as Jawa 42 2.1. The bike has got some significant styling change which now enhances the aesthetic appeal of the motorcycle by great extend. Let’s have a look at the new Jawa 42 2.1 to know more about it.
What’s new on the new Jawa 42 2.1?
The Jawa 42 2.1 now gets 3 different color options which includes Orion Red, Sirius White and Allstar Black. All these colors now gets 42 written branding with a new set of decals at fuel tank. The motorcycle now gets smoked out small wind shield which is only for styling purpose rather than wind protection.
Classic legend now offers new set of alloy wheels rather than old spoke wheels. The motorcycle also gets bar end mirrors which looks rad on the new Jawa 42 2.1. New engine guard and grab rail also catches some eyes out on the road. The motorcycle will also get saddle bags as an option in near future. So overall, the new revised styling of the Jawa 42 2.1 really stands out when we compare it to its predecessor.
The engine on the new Jawa 42 2.1 is the same 293 cc unit which now produces slightly more power than before. So the new Jawa 42 2.1 is powered by a 293 cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, fuel injected, BS6 motor which churns out 27.33 ps of max power and 27.02 Nm of max torque. 2 trip meters and new switch panels also adds on to the list of new updates. But this isn’t a feature loaded machine as it misses out on LED lighting and information on instrument cluster. The instrument cluster on this machine needs to be worked on too.
The Jawa 42 2.1 gets 90/90 section front and 120/80 rear tyres which are mated with 18 inch front and 17 inch rear wheels. The front suspension duty is done by a Telescopic forks at front and twin shocks at rear. The suspension on the new Jawa 42 2.1 is now more stiffly sprung and the seat cushion is now more comfortable for long journeys.
The Jawa 42 2.1 now saves 2 kgs for the alloy wheel variant which is 172 kgs. The motorcycle has 765 mm seat height which is great for short riders but not really comfortable for healthy riders with more height. The motorcycle is underpinned by a double cradle frame.
