New BMW F900 XR and F900 R
The BMW F900 XR and F900 R introduced in EICMA 2019. Now the wait is over BMW Motorrad has launched these two new motorcycles for the Indian market. The BMW F 900 XR and F 900R are both powered by the same 895cc inline twin-cylinder engine, which produces 105 ps of power and 92 nm of torque. It also gets a lot of electronics, which includes Dynamic traction control, Shifts Assist Pro Dynamic ABS, and Cornering ABS. What makes them different is the riding dynamics.
F900 XR is for those who go for long rides, and they want a higher cc bike for covering long distances smoothly without any hindrance.BMW has stated that the design of F900 XR is a Sports tourer that is inspired by the BMW S 1000 XR. In India, F 900 XR battle against Ducati Multistrada 950 and Triumph tiger 900 GT and Launched at Price 10.5 – 11.5 LAKH (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The BMW F900 R is a Street Naked version of F900 XR. F 900 R powered by the same engine and produces the same amount of power(105 ps) and torque (92nm) and Competes against Kawasaki Z900, Upcoming KTM 890 Duke R, and Triumph Street Triple. BMW F900 R Launched at a Price tag of 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
So let’s look at these bikes briefly.
New BMW F900 XR gets a new twin LED headlight setup while the F900 R gets a single LED headlight setup. The fuel tank capacity of F900 XR is 15.5 liters and 13 liters for F900 R. There is also a pro-package for the F900 XR variant to choose from.

The all-new BMW F900 XR is powered by a water-cooled 4-stroke 895cc In-Line two-cylinder engine, which puts out 105 PS of power @ 8500 Rpm and 92 Nm of peak torque @ 6500 rpm. Achieve a top speed of over 200 kmph+ and mated with a 6-speed transmission. Both the BMW F900 XR and the F 900 R powered by the same engine and provides us the same amount of power and torque.
SUSPENSION AND BRAKES:
The new BMW F 900 XR set to a new Bridge-type frame with more extended Suspension setup a 43mm upside-down fork at the front and mono-shock at the rear. It also gets twin 320 mm disc brakes with a 120/70 ZR17 tyre at the front and 265 mm disc with a 180/55 ZR17 tyre at the back.
Street-fighter F 900 R is set to a new steel frame with 43 mm upside-down fork at front and mono-shock at the rear. It also gets the same Dual 4-piston radial brake calipers at the front and single-piston floating caliper at the back.
